Salome Halaxa became a patent attorney and a European patent and trademark attorney in 2002. She focuses on developing comprehensive intellectual property protection strategies for her clients’ businesses, including trademark and patent protection strategies, as well as assessing the benefits, costs, opportunities, and risks involved. She specializes in litigation and the enforcement of intellectual property rights. In the area of protecting inventions and technical solutions, she focuses on international intellectual property protection, particularly European patents and international patent applications.
Salome is a graduate of biophysics and chemical physics at the Faculty of Science, Palacký University in Olomouc and the field of international relations in industrial property at the Metropolitan University of Prague. In addition to academic and legal academic education, she completed a two-year specialization at the Institute of Industrial Law Protection at the Industrial Property Office in Prague, a two-year European Patent Law at Robert Schumann University in Strasbourg, trained at the European Patent Office Train the Trainers in Munich and completed an internship at LSC Vancouver . Eva regularly participates in international conferences and educational seminars in the field of intellectual property.
She is a member of the Dispute Resolution Committee of the Council of the European Patent Institute (EPI). In collaboration with the EPI, as part of the project to revise the European Patent Convention, she developed an educational system for the Czech Republic. Salome Halaxa is a member of the international professional organizations AIPPI, LES, INTA, and FICPI. In addition to Czech, she works and speaks fluently in English and Spanish.
